Is there such thing as too much?

Fred Big bone 1 My mom is busy putting together the final papers for the sale of the Lake Forest house so I offered to write for her today. Of course, she said yes. Or maybe she told me to lay down and I just heard what I wanted? ..Either way, on today’s Fred’s Corner, I want to talk about first time home buying.

I listen to many of the phone calls that my mom has with her first time home buyer clients. And many times, they have their sights set on something a little out of their league. Sometimes, it’s the fact that they want something out of their price range. Or they want a fixer upper but don’t understand how much time it takes to get them ready to live in.

I know there is nothing wrong with wanting something big, I mean I really wanted this bone at first! But, once we got it home, and I tried to enjoy it, well it was just a little more than I bargained for.

My suggestion? Make sure that you really know what you’re getting into when buying a home for the first time. If you aren’t sure, then make sure to talk with a Lake Forest specialist like my mom so she can help you find the perfect first home!
